Fall is (obviously) jacket season, that perfect in-between time when your layers can be as much about their looks as their function, before we blast into the tundra of down parkas and winter freeze. Blazers, nubby cardigans, denim jackets and loopy scarves, all of them are just pure styling fun. Enter our new favorite go-to for the ultimate in jacket perfection, Laveer.

Founded by former Shopbop buyer Kate Ciepluch (Kate was there from the ground up, starting at the Bop shop in Madison and transplanting to New York when they hit it big.), this outerwear collection has it all: lush knitted ponchos with sleek-yet-bohemian detailing, classic trench coats with killer curves, and gorgeous blazers that fit like a glove. There are also gorgeous moto-styled pieces that have all the tough edges of leather in softer fabrics like coated linen and wool boucle, sort of an iron fist/velvet glove approach to dressing. Also lustworthy: duster sweaters that sweep the ground in luxurious, dramatic fashion, cocooning you in coziness. With pieces this highly styled on top, basics underneath are totally acceptable. Jeans/tees/sweaters need not get fancy when what’s covering them up is so superb.
